Introduction(by the Presider)Let us entrust the needs of the Church and the world to God who calls shepherds after his own heart to care for his people.

  1. For the Church: that, attentive to the voice of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, she may lead others to listen to his call and follow him faithfully. Lord, hear us.
  2. For our priests:that they may be strengthened in their ministry and know how grateful we are for their service in our community. Lord, hear us.

  4. For vocations to the diocesan priesthood: that that young men God is calling may respond courageously, offering their lives in service to his people.. Lord, hear us.
  5. For parents and families of those discerning diocesan priesthood:that they may help them to listen to God’s call with openness and trust. Lord, hear us.
  6. For peace:that God may bring an end to conflict and guide the world along the path of justice and reconciliation. Lord, hear us.. Lord, hear us.

The Presider prays for the dead: For those who have died (especially N & N) and those who served God and his people through the priesthood: that they may share in the eternal joy of the risen Lord. Lord, hear us.

Conclusion (by the Presider): God our Father, you never cease to call your people to follow your Son, the Good Shepherd. Hear the prayers we make through Christ, our Lord.
